- Ladies Springside Group
The Respite Program provides respite to carers of persons with dementia, frail aged people, adults with disabilities and adults with other conditions causing them to need care.
The Program aims to establish appropriate and effective working relationships with clients and their carer whilst ensuring the cultural values and beliefs of all participants, including those from non-English speaking backgrounds, are respected and this allows the carers a break from the caring role.
The goal of the program is to provide a non-threatening and meaningful environment in which care recipients can participate and engage in interests and activities to ensure a positive respite experience.
Neil Stewart House (Wangaratta) and Cornishvale (Mooroopna) are both five bedroom houses, with McFarland House (Wodonga) a six bedroom house. All houses are situated in pleasant garden settings. Each house has been specifically designed as a respite facility.
The respite houses are located as follows:
Neil Stewart House
82B Murdoch Road
Wangaratta VIC 3677
Cornishvale
16 Cornish Road
Mooroopna VIC 3629
McFarland House
11A McFarland Road
